Loading Bank and Adit Cutting

One of the low loading banks associated with the adits above the smithy.

In front of the loading bank is one of the parallel tracks that runs across the hill side to join with the main mine track (some way off the left of the picture).

Behind the loading bank is a masonry-lined cutting through tipped material leading to the adit. The dark opening in the masonry wall in the centre of the picture is a recess approximately .6 m square by .3 m deep, purpose unknown. There is a further similar recess on the other side of the cutting near the adit entrance.
